Here's a few tips to get away from the hassle of getting your password reset every 5 seconds. DO NOT go from FF to here (or from here to FF) on the same web page. Open a separate web page for this blog and FF. I am SURE that FF has tracking software. If you leave this site and go directly to FF, they can see that. Similarly, if you go right from FF to FF Drama, they can also see that.
Alternatively, I CAN make this blog by invitation only, and FF can go fuck themselves.
Thoughts?

Hi there! I am an avid reader but have never posted here. I say leave it open. You gave great (and very easy to follow) advise on how to avoid setting off alarm bells on FF. However, if you choose to make it invite only, invite me! I love, love, love this blog.
You've made it by invite only before but you don't invite anyone! LOL If you do ultimately go by invite only then please invite me!!!

I think if you make this blog by invitation only, it would be defeating the purpose of why most come here. Then you lose the prospects of new readers/posters.
I had to change/request my password 4x's that day. They also sent me an email explaining their position on your blog. My position is I come here on my own free will, and yes I was made fun of on a few topics. Hey thats life!!
My vote is just leave it the way it is. But ultimately it's your blog.
I agree with Mrs Jar. but, if you are going to have it by invite only, please don't forget me! Mrs Jar, what did the email say? FF are facist dictators!

I think I should get an invite bc I posted about the trackers :lol: They can be hidden from the hoi polloi and even the free ones track IPs and locations as well as telling board admins where people are coming from. Were you actually able to verify anything??
*shrugging* Trackers are the only way that I can see FF suspending mrsjar AND mentioning the blog.
Although it seems very strange they'd show their hand like that.
Actually, I vote for leaving it open. Did FF Foe really fold up her tent and slink away? :(
It doesn't have to be trackers. It could be someone reading PMs and then coming over here, which I've heard some people say is common on another board my friend is a regular on.
It got so bad there that a bunch of the regulars defected and set up their own message boards on their own site! It is by invitation only, as well, but apparently a mole made her way in and actually invited the mod from the other board!!!! OMG!
Oh, maybe we could all just keep coming here and make new email IDs just for here so we can't be identified? Would that work along with the separate windows just in case?
Lisa, I was wondering about setting up a new email addy, too. But I already have six. And I'd have to set up a third gmail account or AIM.
Huh? We can't read PMs on our private board. FF has scanners that pick up words like "board" "email" or "blog". I think once a private message or post is picked up by the scanners, the mods read it. But I don't KNOW.
Then again, we do have a "free" board. Maybe ones that you have to pay for do let the admins read the PMs. But I think that is disgusting, especially for invite-only boards!
I say leave it open- I'm always sending people over here, and while making it private will indeed give you a bit more freedom/get rid of some of the privacy issues, it will also restrict viewership.
That, and everyone should be able to see the different acts of jackassery which lead to the crowning of the Friday Fucktard :)
(If you do make it private however, make sure to invite my ass! umm....and the rest of me too!)

The board where it was alleged that the mods read PMs was a free board. It was LLL that they spoke of, and I could be wrong, but I think someone posted something on the other board I was invited to by the LLL member (who I know IRL) where the mods SAID they had access to the PMs!
Y'all are crazy if you think the mods don't read PMs. I have had many of mine deleted, and how else would that have happened? Once you're on their radar, they keep an eagle eye on you.
I say leave it open, FF can go fuck themselves. It just shows exactly how many ppl feel that way about FF, maybe if they actually gave a shit about us ladies, they would change their ways. If they don't, ppl will continue to not renew. It's their call, and it's obvious which decision they are making.
Leave it up... Just remember readers that clicking on links within this site to go to Fertility Friend or from Fertility Friend to here is someone that they CAN track.
Ridiculous really that the component of leaving a site is something Fertility Friend is interested in... ridiculous that they would even try to figure out who owns this one or others. For what purpose? Censorship? It really doesn't make sense. There are stupid people on your boards that makes for good entertainment.
Another thing I want to point out is that do not ever post pictures here except through blogger only. Do not link offsite to sites as photobucket, etc... Do not link to message boards where things are discussed. They will send a mole. They do read your PMs. They do all those things b/c it's THEIR SITE. They can do whatever they want.
I would advise to stay as low as possible if you want to remain on FF and even post comments here because they are reading...
I really think that it must be the suckiest job on the planet to try to do detective work for Fertility Friend....!!!!! I wonder if it's minimum wage or if they get the big bucks?
It's too bad that this particular blog doesn't somehow bring a load of women into a new free place to hang... though there are several already out there if you just look around... ;)

Can't you just picture Stormy and Federick with their computers in their 1 bedroom apt living in filth above some Chinese restaurant. They are probably some pimply teenage kids that have nothing better to do.
I go back and forth from the site all the time and have never been targeted. I wonder if it because I tend to keep my mouth shut (very hard thing for me to do).
I would not make this invite only because to me that means they have won.
Kind of scary to think they are tracking my computer but it makes sense that they do. I let my free trial membership expire a long time age and tried to sign up with a new email address but it tracked my computer and would not let me. I guess I am really naive about this stuff, I had no idea they could do that.

BUT it would HAVE to be invite only, I would be admin and somebody I trust (like FFD or FFF, even though I have NO clue who you actually are) would be an admin as well. AND there would be trackers on it. LOL. Seriously, trackers are the only way to find trolls sometimes.
Also--we did this on one board--nobody can use their FF screen names. Unless everybody WANTS to. *I* wouldn't. We could have an innocuous, completely inoffensive siggy blinkie to identify each other on FF. Or nothing.
kmb, considering how many refunds FF as failed to issue, plus the fact that they charge for the site...I picture Heather and Frederic in a huge waterfront mansion, lolling in lounge chairs while their servants bring them tea and crumpets.
