I've made nasty comments about people before, I'm no innocent in that regard. We get pissed and we vent, whatever. Being called a douche bag or flyingmonkeyshit (which has a ring to it) is no skin off my nose. We can't all like each other. Some of the other things on that site went too far and I can't believe it went there at all, let alone over a stupid disagreement on a chat site. I guess I was more naive than I thought. Families should be left out of it, they have nothing to do with our moments of hormone driven snark and personal tragedies are just that. Tragedies, not weapons to hold over someone because you don't like them.
I was on the site and I did not, and will not apologize. There was nothing on that private board that most of us wouldn't have said openly, if it was allowed on FF.
There was nothing done that hasn't been done over and over again by private off-FF groups since the dawn of time. People in glass houses should not throw stones....

There were NEVER any threats made against anyone, ever.
There were NEVER any photos of anybody's children or threats made to families or children.
The board has been completely closed since August or September of 2008. ----------
If someone makes the choice to play dirty and be a "mean girl" on a public internet board then she should damn well be ready to accept the consequences of those actions. You piss people off, you hurt feelings, you belittle and make fun - and people retaliate against that. It is a natural instinct to defend yourself and rage against whoever you feel has wronged you. There were five people in that group - but there were dozens more who contacted us about the behavior of the individuals who were the primary topic of that private board. You can't act a certain way and then be "oh my" surprised when people fight back. You can't hurt people and then play the victim when it comes back to bite you in the ass.
I have remained silent since this whole thing because there is nothing I could possibly say that is going to change anything. I won't apologize for voicing what so many on FF witnessed - that the jackasses aka vultures sought out many innocent people for the sole purpose of making fun of them on a private board. (vikren and netpanther just to name a few....)
Yes, the five of us said nasty and hateful things - but nobody that we talked about was innocent. And again, there was nothing I said that I wouldn't have said openly if I would have been permitted to do so.
Maybe a good thing can come out of this. Perhaps everyone involved, myself included, can take a step back and remember that we're all human - and the words we say are hurtful, even when we *think* nobody else can ever see them.
Also -- I'd just like to take a moment and say that there were only two CL girls who were part of that private forum. So please don't group everyone in the CL group in with us. They have been taking a lot of heat that they don't deserve over this and that isn't fair. They found about it just like everyone else did....
