Kids and Guns just don't mix.....

Do we bash the parents for giving their kids a real gun, or do we condone this because they are teaching proper gun ettiquette? (Assuming that they are teaching this....!!)

Ahhhhh...yet another guns and kids threads. They just don't get old, do they?

Legally, the parents have the right to own a weapon. My hope is that they're conscious enough that they've taught proper safety and make sure to enforce it. The child also appears to be old enough that he might have had the chance to complete hunter's education and might be legal to hunt as well.

Parents can be irresponsible regardless of whether or not there are weapons in the home. Good parents can have guns; bad parents can own guns. Good parents can let their children handle guns; bad parents can let their children handle weapons. Bad parents can also keep guns out of their homes and their children's hands.

Parenting ability goes so much beyond the 2nd Amendment.

I actually seen that post and was totally appalled by it. The manner in which the young child was holding the gun showed a lack of respect for it, and the implication of the caption ( about Obama ) was even more in poor taste.

I am a gun owner and I would never let any child handle a gun in that manner. GUNS ARE NOT TOYS!! and they need to be respected.

hat was my post and my picture that the nosey thief Brigitte stole. The c*nts on FF miscontrued the message. Yeah Thomas does have a message for Obama. Everyone here does...we are going to keep right on clinging to our guns and bibles til you pry them from our cold dead hands. We are lifetime NRA members and all our kids have gun safety as soon as they can hold a gun.

And furthermore...I removed the picture...Fertility Friend did not...but not before Brigitte saved it to her own photobucket account.

My grandson had been wanting to see his granddads hand gun for weeks so we took it out and showed it to him and let him strike a couple poses. Can we say, blowing things out of proportion? And just because YOU don't let a child handle a gun doesn't mean that we can't. In fact, we think he should. As lifetime NRA members...we teach gun safety and have every intention of making certain all the children in our lives know how to use guns for hunting and personal protection.
